5.26.10

We found a bowling alley a few blocks from our house, so we decided to go for a little bit before bedtime for Holden.

After the snow filled Monday, we actually had a nice day on Tuesday. This Utah weather kills me sometimes. Anyways, we went to Liberty Park to walk around and let Holden play in the kids area. Well, they already turned on the fountains so he had lots of fun playing in the water! We weren't prepared for water so about 20 minutes after we got there, Holden left in just a diaper!

Later that day, while Kurt was watering the garden Holden and I played with sidewalk chalk!

Holden fitting in Kurt's backpack. Kurt is leaving for Havasupai in about 10 days so he's starting to get some things ready.

Oh yes, and it SNOWED today. Yes on May 24 it snowed about 2 inches. Gotta love Utah!

5.23.10

We went to Dave and Kerri's to celebrate March, April, and May Utah family birthdays!
Playing with the tons of cars!

CAKE! Holden loved the cake. I however, hated having the cake smell wafting into my nose...but I stayed strong it and didn't eat any sweets! This whole weekend I was bombarded with sweets, but I didn't even eat a crumb! Now here's to losing weight so people don't think I'm pregnant anymore!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURT!

I love you so much and am so grateful for you. You amaze me everyday with your love, kindness, hard work, and dedication to our family. You are truly an incredible father, you bring all the fun to Holden's life. We love you we love you we love you. Happy birthday again!

5.20.10

We celebrated Kurt's birthday on Thursday since he had to work on his real birthday. We had swedish pancakes for breakfast!

Kurt opening his birthday present!
Later that night, we dropped Holden off with our friends, and we went out to dinner! We had such a good time together

5.19.10

Came home from work to find these beautiful flowers Kurt got for me. Gotta love surprise flowers, they are the best!
Then later that day we go in a little fender bender. Kurt and some lady at the grocery store pulled out of their parking spaces at the same time!

5.18.10

Hanging out with Jariki. He loves climbing on her bed which is DISGUSTING. But really cute how much he loves her, I think Riki is slowly warming up to Holden.

5.16.10

We had such a fun Sunday. The day started out GREAT since Holden slept until 8:45am. He usually wakes up anywhere between 6-7am. Then we went and met Kurt and all his boys for a barbecue at the park. Holden loved playing with the basketball and volleyball. After the park, Holden and I went to Kerri's house to hang out for a few hours. We were both husband-less this weekend. I loved just hanging out front letting the kids play.

Sitting on the lawn eating his toes...yumm
Holden is always happy being outside
Well, I went to Florida last weekend and finally came to terms that I have got to lose weight before we go to the Bahamas at the end of June. When we were at the beach and I felt uncomfortable taking off my beach cover up, I knew it was time to go on a diet. So no sugar starting Monday until the Bahamas and I'm going to start "counting points," which is like Weight Watchers. So tonight I had pumpkin chocolate chip cookies at Kerri's house and on my way home stopped at McDonalds for my love...the $1 sundae. I had to get my last amount of sugar in before Monday. So if you see me going for any sort of sugar, slap my hand! Here's to losing weight!!!

5.15.10

Saturday was a beautiful day so we headed to the dog park. Of course Jariki had a great time and Holden had a fun time exploring

Eating blackberries for snack. I think he might love blackberries more than strawberries which is hard to believe!

5.14.10

Friday was a little crazy. I made two trips to Orem for work. We had our big one day sale so I needed to help out later at night with money and all that. So after work we stopped by Brittany and Janssen's house to pick up a few things and say hi! I'm so sad we don't see each other very often since we made the move to Salt Lake. But it was very nice to catch up for a little bit! So here Holden is trying on a headlamp, he better get used to it because I have a feeling when he gets big he will be camping with Kurt a lot!

5.13.10

Our garden has been planted!!! Finally in the middle of May the temperature shouldn't drop below 45 degrees so our plants can survive.

Taking a break to dance!

A little sad at dinner

We had fun testing out lenses at Pictureline in Salt Lake. Wish we could afford the $3000 lens we fell in love with, instead we are buying the $95 lens and will be perfectly happy!

Mothers day started out veryyy early. We had a 6am flight leaving Orlando so I got up at 4:15 to get ready (thanks again to Kelly for taking us to the airport at 4:30am!!) Again, Holden was very good on the plane ride back to Utah.
On the plane
After Kurt picked us up from the airport he made a delicious breakfast of asparagus quiche and fresh fruit.
My handsome husband
Jariki
We hung out for a while, took a 3 hour nap and then he made dinner! Kurt grilled steaks with corn on the cob and mashed potatoes! It was so good and after dinner we had angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream!
I'm so grateful to have a wonderful and beautiful family. I'm grateful for Kurt and all the help he gives me with Holden and around the house. And I'm grateful for Holden for always being such a fun boy who makes us laugh all day long! Thanks Kurt for a great Mother's day
