So proud of you Kurt Alan Youngberg

I feel like shouting this from the rooftops!!!

KURT GOT ACCEPTED INTO THE MASTERS OF SOCIAL WORK PROGRAM! I can't wait for him to be done with school, Spring 2012 here we come!

I am SO proud of everything that he has accomplished. It just goes to show that if you set your mind to something you can accomplish it. I never would have thought when I met him he would be going to graduate school. But he is, and I couldn't be more proud. You are an inspiration, Kurt!

DONE!

DONE! Feels good to have made a year goal and accomplished it! I can't wait until Holden is older and can look through it and catch a glimpse into his daily life in 2010!

1.16.11

Holden loves taking pictures like me!

1.12.11

Best picture I could get. I should know that I can't get his attention away when he's watching Curious George in the morning!

1.11.11

Ohh the skateboard. Holden carries his skateboard with him everywhere, he even needs it to nap and go to bed at night. Uncle Cam gave it to him the night before we left Virginia and he has carried it with him since!

1.10.11

"CHEESE!!!" This is how Holden takes a picture of himself using my camera phone!

1.9.11

Painting with his new smock Nina gave him!

1.8.11

Our desk broke, thankfully we are still able to use it and don't have to buy a new one. Holden loves to get his screwdriver and hammer out to "fix" it.

1.7.11

This is how many books Holden had me read to him tonight. We read for well over a hour and he loved every second of it. I loved it too, I love that he has a passion for books! Hopefully that will continue and he will love to read as he gets older!

1.6.11

We got Holden a light for his table, so now it isn't so dark when he's trying to create masterpieces of art!

1.5.11

Holden found an old binky. He only used a binky one night when he was a baby and the rest of the times we tried to give them to him he would choke. So I think its hailrious he tries to use it now. And he kept saying "Cheese" and then sticking it in his mouth, so I knew he wanted me to take a picture!

1.4.11

I love when he tries to be like his dad. Kurt's shoes on with the hat backward (and yes covering his face.)

1.3.11

Just relaxing watching Curious George after dinner. I love how snuggled he is in the blanket with his shoes kicked off

1.2.11

Trying to wear the Mr. Potato Head glasses

1.1.11

So remember my 1st post of 2010? It was of Holden standing in front of our new TV. Well, I tried to duplicate the picture, but Holden wasn't having it. He kept looking at me like I was crazy trying to position him. So this is the best picture I got!

Time to make up for some pictures....

Since I missed a few days of my 365 I have decided to make those days up. I tried to go back and count the days I missed, but it was WAY too time consuming. So I'm just going to add a few more pictures in January and hope that makes up for it!

12.31.10

Our New Years Eve consisted of cookies and TV. We had a rocking time, but really it was nice to just hang out with Kurt and have a quiet time. And we broke our curse. Every New Years Eve we fight..and not just like a little one...a big fight. And this year, no fight...not even a little tiny disagreement. Love you babe

My Dough Girl cookies...yum
Our lady
Cheers!!!

12.30.10

My cute boys

12.29.10

Holden got bath markers in his stocking and he LOVES them. Back at home, getting back into our routine!

12.27.10

The kids playing a new game they got. Low key day at home!

12.28.10

We had to leave California early, there was a huge storm hitting the day we were supposed to leave. Kurt had to get back to work, so we had to be responsible!

12.26.10

We had a pretty low key day of hanging at home playing with new toys!

Aunt Chelsea building the marble tower!!
Ben got a geotrax train set and it was the hit of Christmas. All the kids wanted to play and Ben was nice to share!
Playing a new board game!
Making Swedish tarts
Making burrito babies
Making faces in the window

Worn out Bapa...he got the flu and this was when he started to not feel good
Playing Kinect! Eric and Nina's family got Kinect and they shared it with everyone! We had such a fun time dancing
Josh dancing...we really had to push him to get up!
Jared dancing
Dave busting his sweet moves

12.25.10

Santa knew to leave our stockings outside our door to each family's room so we were able to open our stockings with our immediate family. Holden loved opening his stocking that had pez, a slinky, new waterbottle, ball, legos, and candy

Kurt got some socks, waterbottle, cookies, funny matches, and a few other things
The loot...this picture doesn't even do justice
My cute boys waiting for family prayer. We all pile in Lynn and Val's bed for prayer..I didn't get a picture but it was quite a sight!
YAY! I finally got my huge saute pan!!!
Kurt and his tools
Holden had NO interest in opening presents. He just wanted to chase the 2 girls around and take their strollers. I think he was overwhelmed with all the madness
Celia with her heels on!
Celia pushing Holden in her new stroller. Holden wanted a stroller so bad, both little girls got them!
Spa time!

12.24.10

Christmas Eve...what a fun and veryy long day! Get ready for lots of pictures!

Evy and Holden..our little elves!

The Knights' ( long time family friends) always bring a tray of shrimp...they stepped it up this year and brought crab legs too.
Family picture...just don't focus on my cold sore...!
Eating apps

The 3 babies...I took around 20 pictures of this set up and this is the best I could get :)

Ezra fell asleep around 6pm
Ben walked around the whole night with these 2 things.
It's a tradition on Christmas Eve for Lynn to read the Christmas story and for the cute kids to act out the Nativity. Holden was baby Jesus...he wasn't really a fan
Gotta love Steven as a wiseman
After the Nativity some of the kids performed. Josh played the cello
Abby sang and Sophie played the violin
Then Ben ran in the middle of singing Christmas carols with no pants...gotta love Ben
After we put the kids to bed we had a white elephant gift exchange. We were supposed to wear ugly sweaters (to honor Brenty) put a lot of people forgot..except Kurt. And he had the best sweater ever, yes its a night shirt sweater
Bri got some fantastic XXXL jeggings
Kerri got some cute boxers
And Dave ended up with the sweet jumpsuit.

We had such a nice Christmas Eve dinner and program. And the funniest White Elephant gift exchange ever, I haven't laughed that hard in months.

After family prayer for dinner, I think every one of us felt the deep hole that Brent wasn't there. It took a while to compose ourselves, we all just miss him so much. But I am so incredibly thankful everyone was able to be there for Christmas, we can still laugh and have fun even with our deep deep sadness.
