Holden loves rough housing with Kurt. This time, Kurt was dropping Holden into a pile of pillows from pretty high. And Holden loved every second of it.

What did we do before without a grill?? We probably now grill 2 or 3 times a week....Kurt is becoming the grill master

When we got home on Tuesday, Kurt was at school but we walked in to a clean house and beautiful flowers on the table.

On Sunday we just hung out at home with family, pretty relaxing day.



Later at night I was chasing Holden around the basement, he slipped on a magazine and fell right into the coffee table. Thankfully, he just got a fat lip and was ok in a few minutes.

I took very few pictures at the wedding, I was chasing after my very active 16 month old. He was a crazy man at the church and at the reception.

Holden and I flew to Virginia for my Uncle Devan's wedding. We spent 5 days hanging out with family and relaxing at the house.

There are only a few days left until Kurt starts school and summer is over. So we went up Millcreek canyon to cook foil dinners and smores. We had a really fun time minus Holden taking a few hard falls and the millions of mosquitoes.

I got a new lens and I was testing it outside, of course, taking pictures of Holden. I captured this picture and I know the colors are a little off and the picture of the raisins box is blurry but I love Holden's eyes. His eyes are big and brown and beautiful. A few days after I shot this picture, I was trying to organize our basement, and stumbled across our picture bin. At the bottom of the bin was my mom's journal I found a few years ago. I had read it before I had Holden, but only that one time, and cried the whole way through it. Well I started re-reading it and I found a journal entry she wrote to me when I was 1. A few excerpts are "you are walking all over, and have been toddling around for the past 6 weeks or so" "you thrill at any attention Angie gives you, and "I baked a cookie cake for your birthday, a chocolate chip cookie cake! You love cookies, so I thought a cookie cake would be perfect!" I guess I was a sweets girl from the beginning.

I came across a section where she writes "Everyone remarks on your big eyes and darling face." People always come up to me and remark on Holden's big eyes and his darling face too. And I think it is so special I'm able to have a feature in common with Holden. Through my 25 years of life, I have never looked like anyone, so it is really really special to me that Holden and I can share some similar features.

Holden wanted to sit in his stroller to watch Curious George in the morning, he seriously sat in in almost the whole 30 min.



Later in the day we headed to the zoo, it was Kurt's first time going to the SLC zoo. He isn't a big fan of zoo's, but we had a fun time....Holden loved all the animals. I especially loved the baby elephant, Zuri, playing in the mud.
